Introduction Hi!, I'm FM_Prospect. This year I decided I was going to venture into some unknown territory, I was going to seek a challenge. A challenge to enjoy FM19 firstly and also share my success and failures. Since I began playing FM a few years ago I've always managed in familiar territories mostly in the Premier League, Championship and League One. This year I wanted to go all the way down to the depths of Non-League Football and begin my journey from the bottom but I also wanted to play through a save more than 10 seasons and see how my FM universe unfolds. I simmed forward the save to around current day date and took over the Local team AFC Telford on the 17th of January 2019, I prefer to let the save ove forward a little bit and fix the existing problems. AFC Telford were 16th in the league and have bounced up and down a few times to the Vanarama National League but never in the clubs history have they been promoted to League 2, So the immediate goal of getting them to League 2 really made me interested in this save, also I liked AFC Telford's Badge and Club kits. I like to be fully invested in my club if I'm going to try and maintain a save for 10 years or more. AFC TELFORD Interesting haircut by captain Shane Sutton!
The pictures above is the overview of AFC Telford they are just a 1 star Local club reputation, after a quick Google search (as I mentioned I like to get invested!) I learned that they were formerly known as Telford United which was founded 1872 but folded in 2004 after financial problems. Telford have never achieved much, Telford have never been a Professional club, never played in League 2, and captain Shane Sutton looks like he could scare the pants off some the younger players in this league!. I'm not entirely sure I will stay with AFC Telford the entire journey, maybe a move overseas becomes tempting? (Europe!) maybe the lure of a bigger club becomes to good to turn down? (Everton!), maybe I get sacked! (most likely)...But maybe... I take a small club like AFC Telford all the way to the top! AFC Telfords History Attachments:

I played the remaining 16 games left of the season, not really changing to much to the team or club straight away just assessing players and formations and settling in to the club. I wanted to play a few games before I decided to commit to a long term save, and I enjoyed AFC Telford straight away and couldn't wait to get to the end of the first season to start making some changes to staff and revamp the squad!. We started off a bit inconsistent but came home strong only losing 1 game of our last 10. The Squad wasn't overly strong but certainly wasn't weak for this league, the emergence of young CB Domincic Smith, and striker Daniel Udoh were revelations towards the end of the year. As I took over in January I only made 2 signings for the remainder of the season as I planned to do a bulk of the changes in the off-season, I signed a winger from Northampton Morgan Roberts who was a very solid player, as well as free agent and former Brentford academy player Seika Jatta who score 3 goals and an assist in 10 games!, so I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops now we have given him a chance!. We ended up finishing 10th despite our good run, dropped points earlier in the season couldn't get us into a playoff position. The youth intake in March brought in some decent players to build the next few years around, One player that really stood out was striker Remi Allison a 16 year old from the academy (although he looks about 45 years old!), Allison is already 2 and a half star ability, 6'0 tall, Heading attribute 15, and decent physical attributes, should Seika Jatta or Ben Udoh be unavailable maybe youngster Remi Allison might be the guy to step up!. Remi Allison has 4 star potential with the 5th star Black so I expect him to see some minutes in the coming season and develop into a good striker!.

Welcome fm_prospect - good to have you here.
A decent end to the season after a shaky start. Hopefully you can take that into the next campaign. Will you be tearing the squad apart and going for promotion or taking a slower, more reserved approach this summer?

Thanks guys glad to have found this little pocket of Football Manager fans!, and thanks for the response, appreciate you reading the thread, any feedback and discussion is more than welcome!. jawzy - Thanks for that information, I did not know that at all Non-League is completely new territory for me! but i'll be going into Finances hopefully in the next few posts as I will go through Budgets, New signings and players i've moved on!. @nick - I think i'll be aiming for playoffs this season and really push for promotion the following season, I will be completely revamping the Backroom staff tho and as for the squad I think i'll be keeping what's good from the younger players 25 and under and bring in my own veteran players to add some Leadership and experience to the squad!, I have an older player James McQuilkin who's was a very impressive mid-fielder in the 16 games I managed he's hard working, consistent and composed and looked a cut above the rest, Hoping he has a big season ahead!.
