Let's get some discussion going with only two days to go until the beta is released. I don't know about everyone else, but i'm really excited about this year's release. Just wondering what teams people are edging towards managing. I've been following many saves from this board for the past couple of Fm's without really posting and i'd love to get more involved this year again. For me I usually stay clear of England and tend to delve into the lower leagues of Spain and Italy I find it much more enjoyable.
Where is everybody thinking of managing and who with?

Just to prove that I haven’t changed in the 10+ years we’ve all been talking about FM, I have no idea who to be first. I imagine the BETA will be spent playing around with a few bigger sides, just getting a feel for the game, but after that I’ve no idea. I should probably have a proper think about it.

My issue, as anybody who knows me will attest to, is that I'm far too easily swayed.
I'm a self admitted football hipster that enjoys football from around the world, and as a result I want to play ALL THE SAVES, EVERYWHERE!
So, my first go in the beta will likely be with Rangers, so I can familiarise myself with the new game, but I don't actually want a save in Scotland, so I'm not sure where my first proper save will be. Potentially in the MLS with Atlanta, or somewhere in Eastern Europe.

MLS with Atlanta is a total hipster move.

Just downloading now - lets get this show on the road. I think I'm going to start the beta as Milan.

Depending on whether international management is usable or not I'm thinking C&C in Greece

Aaaaaaand I caved. I read that a ton of people are enjoying the game specially the new features, so I went ahead and bought the game. I'll play the Beta with Universidad de Chile (I don't plan on playing the full game with La U), because I have a good idea on how La U should play in real life and I'll try to put that into the game. I'll post my impressions and progress on the beta thread, during the week.
Regarding the full game, I'm a bit at a loss on where to start. I might try and play a youth save with RC Lens as I tried last year before losing interest, it was kind of a YDWAWK but with special rules, I could buy players that abided by the rules, which included age, transfer fee, seasons played at the club, loanees, etc. I'm also tempted on a rags to riches save starting down in the English Pyramid, maybe 8-10 levels down. Finally, a C&C might be interesting, though I'm torn on where. Trying to bring up a midtable European team like Bosnia could be a decent shout.

I'm going to run all leagues and see how it pans out What spec PC have you got? Mine is pretty decent and will run the arse off all the European nations, but as soon as I load anything 'cross-continental' it slows down more than I anticipate and I can't understand why.

I have purchased the game and will have my first look after work tonight. Was thinking of going Hamburg first. I visited there last year and been meaning to start a save there. After that I want a Ben esque game. Long term youth only type save. Not sure where to go with that. Was thinking the lower regions of French football but not sure if the league is too big for what i have planned

I have a few in mind. I really enjoy managing in Australia so I'll probably have a save with Melbourne Victory at some point. I'm also really into challenges, there is one that caught my eye. Manage a team in the Premiership and only sign players from the England under 21 team that reached the final at the 2009 European championship. James Milner and Theo Walcott are probably your best players.
