There's no one who can match us, except Barcelona who still have a few players that win games on their own no matter how good you play, or how shit they are.
We are absolutely cruising in all competitions despite our star boys up front losing their form for the most of this period, but luckily Bryan Gil decided to become a God, so we're perfectly fine.
A rough loss against Betis in a game which we absolutely dominated, but we all know how FM sometimes likes to remind you who's the boss here.
There's gonna be a bit of an issue with contracts, as basically everyone is demanding a new one, and no one wants below 100k p/w.
I gave Vignato 160k, and then I realized I'm an absolute moron as he's nowhere near worth that amount, and now I've screwed over our chances of selling him in the summer and getting someone better. I apologize for that.
Here's how we're standing in all competitions at the end of this period
Unless we absolutely collapse in the league, it's as good as won in my opinion.
CL gives us a juicy encounter which I'm sure will be closer than it should be, and a cup final against Sevilla promises to be a brilliant game!
Fellas are putting in a brilliant shift, our goalie is immense(and I'm absolutely relieved because I paid so much money for him in my last stint).
Scouts are out and about, and any improvement to our starting XI will cost us a fortune, seeing everyone starting is either world-class or borderline world-class.
I'll leave that up to you guys as I don't want to interfere with your transfer window, you have a couple of promising lads coming in on a free that I mentioned in a previous post.
That's pretty much it.
I'm gonna be honest, I really don't have too much to do at this point as our tactics are perfectly fine 90% of the time, team is great, and all I'm doing is looking for better coaches and other staff when possible.
If you feel I should scout a specific position for a few months, feel free to mention it and I'll happily do so!
Boys, the unthinkable happened this month. We actually lost 2 games in a row. I know, that's sickening.
However, in my defence, I threw the 2nd game on purpose, and you'll soon see why I did it.
We started the month of with a routine win against Levante, 4-0 with the boys really enjoying themselves.
Then came the away game at Manchester United
Our goalkeeper is the only reason we weren't as good as eliminated after the game, and we got a really lucky goal at the very end, cheers Ruan, you're not too bad.
After that we had an away game at Bilbao which I completely ignored seeing we were 5 points ahead of Barcelona with 1 game less, so I fully rotated the squad in order to come back in Europe.
And boy, did it work. A complete domination, and we should've had a few more. FM is weird when it comes to away European games, it's been like that for ages.
You play the same side a week apart, and at home they look like the greatest side that has ever played football but suddenly forget how to kick a ball as soon as they come to a different stadium. It's really, really weird.
Also, Tottenham are apparently a serious club now
Next up was the cup final!
Of course we won that, what are we, Real Madrid? Get it? Because we're now better than them and they're not playing in the final? Haha lol.
Pretty much an easy game, it honestly didn't feel like a final to me because they didn't really do anything.
Celebrations all around for this historical achievement which we certainly never done before and is brand new to us.
We won our next 2 games in the league despite a lot of rotation, I'm really prioritizing the CL at this point because this league is a bit too easy for us at the moment.
Here's everyone's schedule, and you'll understand why I'm not too bothered really
We qualified for the CL, and the board gave us some money to play around with
Tottenham were a bit shit to be honest with you, they got a goal from a penalty that had to go to a VAR check, but offered next to nothing apart from that. I'm pretty sure we're playing in the final this year because we can only play better at home.
And this is how the month looked like for the boys
We're well on our way to 5 trophies this season and we should all be proud of ourselves, but let's be real, this is all me and no one else.(It's a joke in case someone thinks I'm a massive twat)
That's gonna be it for this update boys, I have 6 games to go hopefully if Tottenham don't knock us out, and the save will be uploaded later tonight.
This is it, the final month of the season, a month in which we either become legendary, or a bit less legendary but still pretty amazing.
We kicked off the month with a nice 2-0 win against Villareal, but our eyes were solely on the Tottenham game a few days after. It's our chance to defend what's ours, the ultimate trophy in club football.
Once again, Tottenham proved to be no match, and the final score flatters them a lot. They scored a goal very late on due to an error from our fellas in the back, but who can actually blame them?
We're in the final, baby.
There, PSG awaits.
We had a pretty good chance to seal the title at home against Atletico, but Kamara decided that's too boring and played a suicidal backpass from the halfway line which got cut off by Vinicius who scores like a right prick, denying us the chance to win it at home.
We then of course take it out on poor Getafe, and boy, did we take it out on them.
That makes it our 4th trophy of the season, we've been amazing at the back conceding by far the least amount of goals, and our 2 stars up front scored like 60 goals between them in all competitions.
Last game of the season was reserved for the reserves, we beat Getafe 1-0 and I didn't want to risk anyone important before the final!
The day before the biggest game of the year, our right back gets injured
It's far from ideal, but hey, no excuses.
The game was pretty even for the most part, and 2 pieces of brilliant finishing ensured we get our hands on the trophy once again, and our names will be sung for years to come!
Overview of all competitions
suggests it might be time to do something else with the save. I'd like your opinions on this, as I think we need to add a bit of a challenge to it to prevent it from becoming boring. Something like committing to playing our youth products every game, or focusing on signing exclusively young Spanish lads and develop them for the future.
I haven't touched transfers, there's a fair few players that have been fully scouted and are on shortlists, I leave that up to you.
Staff is looking great, financially we're not doing too bad and the new stadium is due to be opened on 8th July.
I think a few players might cry about their contracts in the near future, there are loads of youngsters coming back from loans that can be used as subs next season without us needing to spend anything because they're a lot better than anyone we can sign, and a lot cheaper at that.
I'd probably look at a new AMC, there's a lad at Everton I shortlisted and talked to media about, so feel free to check him out.
Have fun in the next season, and please, I'd really appreciate your opinions about adding some sort of challenge to this save now we're by far the best team in the world!
I'm quitting FM 20 for good, the game is not fun for me, I notice way too many things that are broken for almost a year/have been broken for years, and I get too pissed off at a video game which is not a good sign.
I really enjoyed doing this save with all of you, and it's been the only enjoyable part of FM 20 for me.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity, I had a lot of fun playing and reading all of your updates, and I wish you luck with the save in the future!
