Apologies for not commenting on the last few posts jt, I have been following from afar.
What you've done over the course of the save so far is pretty special. You've had to dig in at times, with no money, in a nation where even the big teams struggle with cashflow, but you've recruited sensibly and been patient. The hours put in are all for this season. Staying up will be massive. Getting Grosdis and Giaxis in permanently is shrewd business and I like the look of Doxakis too, although the lack of heading ability would worry me.
30 points seems fairly manageable if you're team is as boring as you suggest. Boring teams are usually pretty tight at the back and, if you can shit your way to a few 1-1 draws and 1-0 wins, then you'll be laughing. Good luck mate.

Good preseason there JT, as Nick says this has been an amazing save mate here and I'm hoping you can keep up in the first tier this season and cement your place from there on.

Panthiraikos 2024/25 - Regular Season - Midpoint On the pitchSo far so good. Defensively we have held our own as we lead the league in tackle completion leaving us with the 3rd best defence in the league. Zech Medley has been the star of the side being the only man to average over a 7.00. The Englishman got our first ever goal in the top flight and has been an ever present in a defence that has managed to get 6 clean sheets from 13 league games so far. Our grittiness and conservative play does mean we struggle to score goals and our games tend to be fairly low scoring as you can see from the table. We are keeping the ball well and in fact lead the league in completed passes but it is clear we are not doing anything incisive with the ball. So far it is kind of working as we are getting the odd goal to sneak a victory here or there but if that dries up further or the defence finally buckles we could find ourselves slipping down the table. Finacially we are still struggling and so in January we will have limited funds to make amendments to the side with loan deals being the most likely to go ahead as we try and inject a little more attacking verve to this side as i just dont think we can keep the form up. So far so good as we embark on this historic season

Wow JT, that's a super encouraging start mate. What's the projection to save from relegation? I'm sure you must be somewhere close to it, best of luck mate.

Panthiraikos 2024/25 - Regular Season - League Split TransfersA little bit of business to cover in the January transfer window. Firstly back up keeper Abdelkader decided to end his contract with us meaning i had to scramble around for a back up keeper. Kostas Kapetanos was signed hastily on a small contract to fill that hole. I had looked at him in the 2nd tier to be my first choice at one point and in reality he is probably a small upgrade for a back up. The main business was two loan signings to help bolster our attacking options. Ghanian striker Agyei Mama was signed from Parma to challenge Bullari for a striking role whilst we signed Colombian Kevin Gonzalez from Crystal Palace to give us a more creative midfield outlet. On the pitchA horrid run of form that saw us pick up just 1 victory in the final 13 games of the season. Was it enough to keep us out of the bottom two places going into the League Split? Well luckily Yes it was. The 7 draws to go on top of the 1 victory meant we finished in 11th, somehow just missing out on the Championship group by 6 points. It was a funny season and as you can see there are a lot of teams in and around the same points total. So now the league splits in two and as we are in the Relegation group we have to play each of the other 7 teams once. As a reminder, the team bottom gets relegated whilst the team 2nd from bottom goes in a play-off with the runner up from the league below. All points are carried over which means we keep our 9 point gap over bottom and our 7 point gap over 2nd from bottom. Based on the previous 5 in game seasons a points total of around 31-32 has been enough to secure yourself a top flight spot so meaning we probably need to get around 5 points from the remaining 21 on offer to pull off the miracle and stat in the league. If it wasn't for that turgid run of form i would feel quite confident. I should still be quite confident but i do feel like the wheels are coming off a little. As you can see from the squad stats we are struggling for goals in particular. Bullari is the top scorer with just 6 whilst our centre half Medley is our 2nd top scorer with 3. Our defence has also started to slip a bit and when you are not scoring you do start to notice more and more problems. It is time to patch the side up and try and get through these 7 games unscathed.

They said around the 30 mark at the beginning of the season and i think that should be fine. The bottom two have started to fall away from the rest meaning as long as they dont have superb relegation group phases we should have done enough already

On a side note this is happening. Not sure how we can afford it but when you are maxing out the stadium every single game, it was obvious we needed a new stadium. 3,800 seater might not sound a lot but it is more than 6x what we can hold now

Hopefully it's not too detrimental financially, at least in the short term, but hopefully a stadium that big (relatively speaking) will actually be beneficial to you financially, as it's going to impact your season tickets, your match day tickets and potential sponsorships and that's all really important.

Panthiraikos 2024/25 - End of Season On the pitchAnd Relax! We survived our first season in the top flight and in the end with relative ease as we went the league split undefeated. We picked up 4 wins and 3 draws whilst conceding 0 goals in what was a superb defensive display. Considering how we struggled towards the end of the initial campaign it was a pleasant shock to see the team show their steel again. Winning the first 3 games of the league split pretty much sealed the deal as we ended up leading the league for passes completed and had the 4th best defence. In fact conceding isnt our problem but scoring really is. We scored just 22 goals in 33 league games and although defensively we have been good, we havent been that good. It was a similar story in my 1st season in the 2nd flight and with a few additions and tweaks we managed to go win the league the very next year. I'm not saying we can do exactly the same but if i can make the right new signings and the right adjustments i think we can really push to get into the championship group next season. It goes without saying a defender was our best player all season as Englishman Zech Medley led the team all season with the highest average rating. He was a rock and also a nice little threat at the other end from set pieces. On loan keeper Antonis Stergiakis also picked up the keeper of the league in what ended up being an impressive display as goalkeeper. His loan spell is not up and we are going to need to either try and sign him or replace him for next season. I mentioned Goals was the problem and when your top scorer Emiljano Bullari scores 7 all season, you know you need to change something. It isnt just a goalscorer either as we need creators and Frenchman Yacine Aoujil was the best but 6 assists is still a little low. Looking ForwardBudget wise we once again go into the season with no transfer budget but with a wage budget increased to £58k per week which hopefully means we have some money to play with to get some new players in. We had 4 men on loan last season (Stergiakis, Mama, Mabanza, Gonzalez) and all will return next season to their parent clubs and we need to fill the gaps in. We also need a new striker as Bullari struggled to adapt to this level of football whilst wingers are also on the cards as both our backups contracts will expire with Vosniadis who was signed last year being awful and he will likely be sold on for a profit. In terms of goals this is where we are. - Turn Professional - Get promoted into the 2nd tier - Get £1m in the bank (currently £980) - Survive in the 2nd tier - Get a player called up to an International youth side - Knock out a top tier side in the Cup - Increase the stadium capacity - A new stadium being planned means this sort of covered - Make the championship group- Get a non-loan player into an International youth side- Survive the top flight - . Now to get into the Championship Group - Sell a player for at least £500k - Have a player get a full cap - Cut the debt by 50% [/quote][/div] That's 6 seasons down and i have a couple of players lined up for round 2 in the top flight. We are still the favourites to go down but i have one Greek legend in the bag already
