dalenichol I think this still a part of the game that isn't addressed properly. Yes, in real life results can surprise, there are upsets, and the best team doesn't always win. But in FM there is still a bemusing occasional outcome where one side is totally dominant for 90 minutes but loses to the only corner they concede in the entire match. It seems disproportionate and I think with the new analysis available could end up looking even worse on this version. In your 1st example you can see the xG too and that doesn't help SI look good in this argument.
I had a game in my save where the opposition similarly scored in the 1st minute and then held out despite not doing anything else for the rest of the match. They somehow withstood 20 or more shots that we took from inside their penalty box let alone the longer shots. This isn't something though that's new to FM21, its an old flaw.
Now, when can we expect proper posts about this game?
I've still not decided if I'm going to post about this save, despite being a season and a half in. It's made more concerning by the intake bug that's known but not patched out. That probably wouldn't make a lot of difference for my save, but it's still an issue.
Robson yeah, I posted it more as a funny "look at this". I don't look or care about xG or its implementation and just looked at the result as just another case of FM being FM. Ultimately we won the Amazonas State once again, so it's no big issue. First time it's happened in about 60 games, too.

It wasn't pretty. Oddly, our worst loss came against Fulham, the one team I was hoping to beat, but at least we beat Arsenal. Of course we drew Manchester City in the Carabao Cup, but we actually did really well and beat them fair and square, and they didn't even rest their best players!
We play the top 10 from last year in 11 games, with Fulham being the odd one out, which obviously means the rest of the schedule is easier, but I would have preferred it to be a bit more mixed. The annoying thing about this schedule is that we'll have the same to end the season, so I hope we have a bit of a buffer to the other relegation candidates then.
