For beta, I decided I want to steer clear of leagues and countries I acyually wanna play in when full release happens
Have found myself in Ukraine at Dynamo Kiev Sturridge and Yaya Sango are ripping the league up!

Some bigger teams do seem to struggle a bit more, I've noticed that already.
I'm a few months into a Rangers test save. Spurs went out of the europa league to Honved and are currently 11th in the league, Celtic are 3rd after 10 games, having already lost 4 games this season, Roma have 1 point from their opening 4 games, as do Dortmund. I know that's largely early season stuff, but still caught me off guard a little.

0 Teg but 25 Voo? That is impressive Not quite as impressive as you, but we've started the season well. Unbeaten in all competitions, including a 0-0 draw against Arsenal in the EL. Definitely struggling with lone strikers and wide player contribution like last years version though. Morelos has 1 goal to his name, with almost all of our goals coming from midfield and our attacking wingers.

Haha sorry the screenshot is in Dutch, voor en tegen . I just conceded a goal against Fulham in a 1-3 win, so our goals for/against ratio went from infinite to just 28. You have built up a very nice buffer to Celtic! Now we have xG, is it because he simply doesn't convert his chances or does he not get many? If you go to the player statistics tab of your competition, you can also see the players in the league with the most xG, which helps to compare. Being the starting striker of the best team in the league, you'd expect him to be high up the list if he played most of the games. If that's not the case you may want to tinker with your tactics, but on the other hand, you are doing very well so why change it up!

I don't think I realised you were Dutch, although I'm sure it's come up in conversation before. So he has the 3rd highest xG in the league. He's just scored two goals in a 3-0 win at Aberdeen, which I'm hoping will help him a bit, but it's looking like he just isn't taking his chances, but at the same time from watching games he's not getting many good chances, he's feeding off scraps. I've noticed that he often gets overlooked, players tend to pass backwards or shoot instead of creating chances for the striker. It's frustrating in a way, because you want your main striker to be involved in all the goals, but at the same time we're scoring loads and we've had about 14 different scorers already this season, so I probably shouldn't complain.

Hmm, maybe it's more about the quality of the players surrounding him then, than the way you set up your tactic, because he seems fine to me. Players will of course over/underperform xG over the course of a season, but very rarely are players able to this consistently in multiple years. So I'd expect him to catch up a bit over time.

That's fair. I'm not great with analysis and all this xG stuff goes right over my head for the most part, so I'll just enjoy the fact that I'm doing well

Gonna have to think of my first proper save soon I think. Never fancy a long term Rangers save and there's not much new to have to get my head around here. 3rd of January, we're 16 points clear and it's all a bit easy.
Not sure where's on the cards, as I was tempted to wait until the editor was available, but might have a wee look later.

Yeah, I was tempted by Turkgucu during the later days of FM20. So that's definitely a shout down the line. Oriental Dragon would be interesting, do we know for sure that they produce chinese regens? I'm thinking a save like that might be better after the game is fully released but we'll see. I've just had a cracking nap, so I'm gonna load the game up and take a wee look soon. I'm somewhat tempted by Russia or Turkey, but I'm not commiting to anything just yet.

disapointing to finish 2nd far from Doneskt too Euro Cup - went on a deep run all way to semis, much to my suprise. Ukraine Cup- quite easy in the end, even in final, Doneskt struggled to get going Also we won the super cup on pens. And this is how I lined up along with best 11 according to this end of season screen

So now, on this new version of FM, there's going to be little sweeter than winning a game whilst only having .5 xG Get FM'd Spartak, you pricks!

So we've played 3 games. won two of them (both 2-1) and lost one 1-0. The 1-0 loss is the only game where we had an xG over 1.0, and the team that beat us had 0.35 :/

xG in the match stat screen, shouldnt really be giving weight or information. xG stats have always been a way to analyse over an extended period of time certainly alot longer than 90 minutes.

For the first time in years I started with a top tier team just to test the game before my first "real" game. I think I can say things started well:

Yeah, same owner as Atleti IRL. Probably not hard coded but it happens because of the owner.
BTW, if someone ever wants an "easy" but still challenging game, the long term goals are to be "the best of the rest" in Portugal.

We've beaten Celtic 7 out of the 8 times we've played them, which has included a Scottish Cup final and the day we won the league by beating them at Ibrox...however, I hate Neil Lennon just as much in game as I do in real life, making this probably my most enjoyable win against Celtic Those goal times...
