Hard to see in Italy, its Foggia today

Calcio Foggia 1920 S.S.D., commonly referred to as Foggia, is an Italian football club based in Foggia, Apulia. It currently plays in Serie C, having last been in the top level Serie A in 1995.

The team gained nationwide popularity as Foggia Calcio in the 1990s when coached by Zdeněk Zeman because of its attacking, spectacular style of play, which brought Foggia continuously on the verge of UEFA Cup qualification, launching several players who later broke through at international level such as Giuseppe Signori, Francesco Baiano, Brian Roy, Igor Kolyvanov, Igor Shalimov, Roberto Rambaudi and Dan Petrescu. However, Foggia Calcio went bankrupt in 2004 and was replaced by U.S. Foggia, which itself was declared bankrupt in 2012.

On 23 April 2017, the club regained promotion to Serie B after a 19-year absence, but folded again only two years later, to restart from Serie D in 2019 as Calcio Foggia.

So much like alot of Italian clubs a history that is unstable due to folding, Foggia, do have a solid fanbase considering only had 11 seasons in the top flight with the highest finish being 9th! on 3 occasions

Was hoping to see a little bit more ambition from the board, but I should be able to meet these demands providing I dont have a stinker here.

We have got a balance of just under 1 million and 182k to spend

I feel I need a better goalkeeper and potentially wingers! in general the squad does lack pace aswell, So mid table this season should be a realistic aim, with the media predicting us to be 12th, Some big sides within this division at the moment with Bari, Catania, and Palermo all here.

Kosnic and Nartey are centre backs who will compete for the first team
Trecarichi, Doumbouya and Uhunamura are the much needed wingers
Bortolameotti is a goalkeeper
out of the loans in Cirkin is a left sided defender and Weir looks to be a solid mid, the other two are here as backups.

We should have enough about us to maintain a top half finish.

In january window I will be looking to move some players on and maybe bring some others in.

Out of the three highest performers I was most impressed with Nartey being a rock at the back.

We have a balance of 656K but the board will let us spend 820k to try fight relegation next season

End of Serie B season


Absolutely nuts to finish 4th and be promoted via playoffs, to be fair 3 of the 4 promoted teams actually had a decent season (Perugia, Avellino, us and Alessendria)

got a bit further in the cup, but lost to Fiorentina Only a 2-0 loss, so fairly respectable. Considering they finished 6th!

Naessens and Balde continue to be our goalscorers, while Narty continues to perform in defence but havig Coppola there has also helped.

Our balance is 4.5m and board are willing to let me spend 8.8m

I will be shocked if we are not last at the end of the season.
