 Many of us will have played FM for a long time now, me included. I was thinking recently about things I haven't done on FM, even after all these years. I don't think I've ever managed Messi. Impossible to buy, never managed Barcelona or Argentina (that I remember). Given he's 31 now, I'm running out of time and it'd be a shame to not do it at least once. What random things have you never done on FM? |

Never managed in the MLS. Too many contract rules to keep straight.

Having played since cm93/4 and almost every version  The only thing I can think of that most people have done and I have not is have a proper lower league world journeyman type save. |

I don't think I've ever completed a season in MLS, but I've definitely started saves there. It's just the draft that puts me off. I can deal with the salary cap and the different player contracts just fine.
Do MLS teams have youth intakes like 'normal' teams? USA would be decent for a C&C game. You never see anyone do that.

I don't believe there are youth intakes in MLS. Everything is done through the draft. Hopefully that will change as more and more MLS teams start their own academies.

You do get an 'intake' but it goes to your academy and you have to sign them for the first team. You can't train them until they belong to you but then I believe that there is some implications about having to register them in your roster. I do like the concept but that does put me off! |

I'm wondering if I've ever won the World Cup. International management isn't my thing, but I know I've done it a couple of times throughout certain saves, or old challenges on TD, but I don't think I've ever won the World Cup.
I'm also not convinced I've ever won the Premier League, as it's a league I tend not to manage in, but I've been playing since CM2 and will almost definitely have been playing with United or someone like that back then, so I must have.

I don't think I've ever signed a player with a history like this...  It just annoys me that they show the 1 substitute appearance they made in a friendly for the A side. Out of the principle for a neat and tidy player history screen - I won't sign any players like this, which tends to suggest I don't sign 'cast off's' from Spain, Germany or Portugal's big clubs if they have done this. Maybe one day I will get over it. |

I've done it once or twice, managed Messi that is. I tried Barcelona for a season or two on a recent version. Seem to recall making a bit of mess of it actually. Did sign Mbappe on FM18 for Roma and he was epic.
Got a few teams I've never ticked off and a lot more countries I've never tried. Not been as exotic as a lot of ambitious saves I see people try e.g. Dale.
Don't think I've ever managed PSG. Think I can add Benfica, Scottish football, MLS (hell no), hardly any international management whatsoever, Eastern Europe barring a couple like Sparta and Partizan. Never managed in Greece, Africa or Denmark. Don't think I've ever spent £100m on a single player. Max career length of any save probably 15 seasons maybe at a guess.
