Been struggling to get into a save for last few weeks, Have played a season at Carlisle, a club I have never managed and have no links to. Also feel like I have never or rarely seen anyone talk about managing this side.
What inspired me to try Carlisle?
Geographically located is closer to glasgow than another english club? ( i think I read that somewhere?)
Nice plain basic kits - easy on the eye Did once play top flight football, but for the most part in the lower part of football league.
Large stadium to work with and it is very old and looks dated and has a derpy quirk (shame its not in the 3d engine ) Also it has Alot of terraced sections!
The derp is the stand on the left, overlapping the pitch?
In game
2,000 season ticket holders
We had 26k to spend at start of the season and an aim of mid table, the squad had alot of loans in and few xpirenced players along with a dabble of youngsters, the ability looked like it could sneak into the playoffs So I was happy to have board expect mid table.
So how did my first season end up?
An unexpected 3rd place finished! happy and both scared of what next season will hold for us! we were in playoffs for alot of season, but the top 7 were always neck n neck hence very very close at the top!
Cups
Terrible.
Transfers Loans in
Even though alot in I was most happy with Maynard and Eisa.
Player Performance
Hope and Devritt were my favourite players, Edge the defender came through my youth intake!
Edge profile
Looks good, but will he reach full potential at this club, probably not.

Quick update, currently halfway through this seasonn, we looking safe from a relegation battle, which is good. Our finances are around -800k so Swansea completing this move for a 18 year old we got for free in the summer was nice

End of season:
Went into this season with a prediction of finishing 23rd, I honestly expected a struggle, but after 10 games we were occupying the top 10, I knew this wouldnt last. It didnt and we went on a mid season slump but never looked like getting relegated, we stayed constant mid table with a late surge to secure a very good 12th place!
Disapointing in the cups again
Transfers in
Certainly made alot, most are just youngsters or very short term deals to fill in gaps of quality that i had that developed through injuries or just lack of performers. Callum Roberts and Simmonds were certainly the favourites signed.
Out
650k made through transfers out! - Simmonds was only one I didnt relly want to sell but I couldnt deny him a move to swansea for that fee!
Squad
Edge and McAvoy doing very well considering the age of them! but Callum Roberts is my favourite of the season, not only is he my favourite, he also won fns player of year and also young player of year at the club! hopefully no one comes in for a big bid for him!
Next season? Another mid table will see me content/happy. we have 34k to spend if needed.

He was with us half a season before swansea came in with 500K
he played 20 and scored 5 and got one assist. so not bad.

He's got 44 goals in 104 apps for me. Three Championship clubs are sniffing around him.

having a nightmare of a season where my first team keeper and a first team defender get long injuries, resulting in some panic buys, but they not beein fruitful, not to mention loads of my goals are being disallowed, it just feels like i will be sacked soon If i do get sacked - I will see if my manager can get a job elsewhere (its something I dont usually do, especially when I set out to do one club!

and it happened table upon my sacking for reference utter shambles Future jobs I was hoping Hull would stay in relegation zone but they appointed a new boss and made a small surge! Bradford could be a position to keep an eye out for in League one. League two looks like this Coventry or Swindown maybe? I dont wish to drop any lower than L2 and not really thinking my next move to be outside of England at the moment
