I am coming to the end of my sixth season in Germany, I will most likely do another but after that I need a new save. I have found Germany a little easy this year. Bayern have been a failure and can't look after young talent.
I am looking for something long term, something Ben-esque.
Small club, smaller nature. I want to build the team up alongside building the nation up at the same time.
I have had similar saves in Croatia and Romania previously so we can rule those out but I would like to stay in Europe. Something with a bit of history or a back story would excite me.
Hit me some clubs/links that I can start looking at.

An Israeli club would be good. International side hasn't done much but should be a decent country to do something with. Alternatively i would look at Scandinavia or the Czech Republic

Was thinking Bulgaria after being a big Stoichkov fan back in the day. I fancied starting with his first club Fc Hebros but they are in the 4th div and I can't find a decent edit and I am not sure that is a bit low down in such a low level league

What about Viitorul Constanta in Romania? Owned by Gheorghe Hagi (my first footballing influence after USA 94) and known for bringing through young players. I’m not sure of their standing in Romanian football at the moment, but could be worth checking out?
I’ll have more of a think during my afternoon at work and see what else I can come up with.

I had a long term game in Romania last year so want to try somewhere different. I had a search around Bulgaria and Israel but nothing taking my fancy yet.
May have a look in Denmark.

IFK Mariehamn in Finland is an interesting one. They are from some islands off of Finland and that part of Finland actually speaks Swedish and not Finnish
Tromso as Nick suggested is always a good game due to its location.

I am loading these league's but nothing jumps out. Strange I usually have a long list of clubs that I want to try but I am getting to a stage of been there done that.
I have been reading a few books on life in Andalucia recently and thinking of Xerez Club Deportivo.
Xerez Deportivo Fútbol Club is a football club in Jerez de la Frontera. It was founded in 2013 by a group of fans due to the critical situation of the Xerez CD.[1] It plays in the Tercera División – Group 10, holding home matches at the Estadio Municipal de Chapín, with an overall 20,523-seat capacity. The team colours are usually blue shirts and socks, with white shorts.

How about a Turkish third tier side? Sakaryaspor A.Ş very well supported thus something to build on

Talking of turkey... i think a club called altirnordu (2nd tier) are wanting to build an all turkish squad and only buy turkish players.
Could be a great home grown heroes or youth only challenge

So I started a game with Xerez Deportivo in Spain's 4th division. But I believe the editor file is all wrong. My wage bill is over £8k a week with players on over £1k. For a semi professional club. I am nearer the end of the season and on course to win the league so will play on to see what happens but we will be about £500k on debt. Most of the squad are out of contract and won't sign and I couldn't even sign the newgen. They wanted £0 a week but £100+ a game which we can't afford.
Looks like I will be on the lookout for another club. I was hoping to introduce my Moroccan manager into Spain.

Having a lot of fun in this league. Wisla Krakow have some financial challenges but been a traditional big club but havent won a title in awhile whilst Gornik Zabrze have also done well in my save and have a good history

After a couple of stop start saves and technical issues ruining a save in Africa, I read this thread and Viitorul stuck out at me. They've got an absolutely fantastic young team and we've just won the title in our first season. So, so many good young players. Hagi, Matan, Dragus and Baluta to name just a few. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into this.

Struggling for motivation/inspiration for a save atm. Looking at some sides in Romania, Bulgaria etc but nothing really sticking out. Only team I'm half interested in is Ripensia in the Romanian second division. I'm even keen for a team such as Espanyol. A really mixed bag of saves I'd like to try really.
Can anyone recommend any fallen giants/nice save ideas?

Panathinaikos: Not won the league in years, 6 point deduction at the start, heavily in debt with a chairman wanting to leave and banned from Europe for 3 years.
As far as Bulgaria are concerned, are Litex back in the top tier, because they'd be worth a shout.
If you can get a lower league edit for Ukraine, Dnipro are now in the 4th tier, which is amateur.
There's plenty of others, but I'm struggling to think of them until I load the game up in a bit

Moved from the FM19 forum.
I need a new save. I'm done with Asia for a bit. I seem to be getting to that 2028/29 stage in all my saves and just losing interest.
I've done Asia and South America so looking for somewhere different now. If we're going to Europe, I don't want one of the top nations. In terms of rep, probably somewhere like Russia as the ceiling.
I'm open to North America, but not Mexico. Probably not looking at Africa at this point.
In terms of standing, I'd like an mid-table/upper mid-table team to improve and take forwards.

Poland. Wisla Krakow. Done. That's not a bad shout to be honest. Exactly the kind of league level I want too. I don't think I've ever managed in Poland before either. Canada C&C with a team from the canadian leagues using the canadian megapatch from the SI forum. I hadn't thought about a C&C game but it's a possibility. What's so good about this megapatch?

It actually looks pretty good. I'm just holidaying it to see if it has any issues. Only 28 league matches and I can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Not enough teams in CANPL.
feels it will get old to quick.
Shame theQuebec leagues dont get a place in the Amway (they do in first season) but onwards it doesnt seem to happen.
How about Cyprus in Europe? its actually one of the leagues not in the game, that are within europe that I have seriously flirted with the idea of.
