Reiver It's so, so good. (It's included in Xbox Gamepass for PC too! Which was even better for me) So many good QoL changes and it's lovely looking too. I'm inclined to say that it's maybe a little easier than the last one? I've went from a single state in 876 or whatever the start date is, to a fairly large Kingdom with almost no issues and 100+ in game years played. I'm not complaining though.

The only thing I have to complain of at the time is that vikings seem a bit overpowered if you start in 800 hundreeds - I mean how the hell can the kingdom of the isles get over 7000 people armies and West francia only has 3000.

Yeah, glad it's not just me. I'll need to check when I next load it up, but last I noticed, Sweden controlled most, if not all of Ireland, parts of France, England, Spain and modern day Germany. The Isles control almost all of Scotland and some of England too.

here I am some 50 years after starting as the duke of Barcelona within West Francia. Some of thoese I didn't even conquer, the King transfered vassalage to me. EDIT - this current character is so loveable that i conquered a dukedoms from my brothers and their opinion of me is still positive after the fact.

Around a month ago, I decided to buy EA Play Pro for PC via Origin (I decided to buy it just as its name got changed from Origin Access Premier to EA Play Pro). My reasoning behind it was that I wanted to buy Madden NFL 21, whose MVP edition cost $99.99 and the EA Play Pro costs the same $99.99 for the whole year, and it includes not only the same MVP edition for Madden NFL 21, but also a ton of other games I wanted to play, including Jedi Fallen Order Deluxe Edition ($79.99), Vampyr ($39.99), Need for Speed Heat Deluxe Edition ($69.99), A Plague Tale: Innocence ($49.99), A Way Out ($29.99) plus the upcoming FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition ($99.99) and Star Wars: Squadrons ($39.99), among a ton of more games (including unfortunately a lot for which I already paid on Steam haha). So the math adds up for me at least. I know most games are a one time buy and this is a yearly cost, but as long as there's $99.99 per year I want to spend on a single EA game, I think all the rest is added as a gift. Besides I get 10% off on all Origin products (for instance The Sims 4 expansions aren't included on the EA Play Pro list unfortunately, but I can buy them for 10% off, and also all in-game currency for Madden Ultimate Team or FIFA Ultimate Team) and early access to full versions of the games (FIFA releases on October 9th and I'll get the full version with unlimited playing time at September 30th). Now X-Box Game Pass includes EA Play games, so here's me thinking they add the other way around as well, and I can have Xbox Game Pass games at EA Play Pro, haha.

I forgot about this thread. Been playing CK3 for a while and getting a little bit better. I always start as Ulster. I managed to get a united Ireland even if i hadn't conquered all the counties. Just after i did that and in the middle of a war, my King dies. Left me with a little shit for a replacement and i seemed to have lost half of my army. Going round in circles trying to clean up the mess. I think its the deal breaker for a return to FM.

I'm a big gamer as well, not as much as I used to because I have a 5 month old son now but I still play games. I mainly play at night when he's sleeping.
Currently been playing Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2 and the classic Star Wars 2005. All First-Person Shooters, bet you can guess what my favourite genre is.

I've just had a new PC delivered after having to wait 8 weeks because Nvidia only released about 5 RTX 3080's to the entire world, and am ready to spend even more money on games. I've already bought Watchdogs Legion and The Witcher 3, with Cyberpunk also top of the list along with Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. I'll probably buy Cold War at some point just because everyone seems to be raving about it.

I've always been a fan of mobile gaming, and I've just looked on the Play Store and there are some great mobile games. Among Us is now on the Play Store, I bought that on Steam, Star Wars: KOTR is now available as well, it's almost £10 which is a lot for a mobile game, so must be pretty good. Then obviously there is FMM21. I've played the mobile version of FM for the last 5 + years so I've been debating whether I made the right decision buying Touch on my laptop, especially as the features for mobile this year are great.
I've decided that if I don't get along with Touch I'm buying a Chromebook to play the games listed.

I know this thread isn't that active, but I want to share my newest acquisition in terms of PC games. I bought "Space Haven", don't know if you've heard about it, but it's a space colony survival/spaceship building game. It's like if FTL and Rimworld had a kid and it's just FANTASTIC! I haven't ventured much into it, and I've spent way much more time reading about the game and watching youtube playthroughs than playing it (as it's quite a harsh, even on easy, and complex game), but it's just too good. It's still on alpha, currently on alpha 10 and basically you control your crew, by setting work shifts and tasks for them to do automatically, while also being able to control each character manually when doing ship raids and stuff. Like FTL the galaxy is full of other creatures and you can recruit them, take them prisoner (and sending them to die in space via the airlock a la Among Us), kill them (and eat them if that's down your alley or better put if you need it), trade with them, etc. Despite the Alpha status it's currently full of features and allows players to play in their own pace and style. I truly reccomend it, despite not having played much, and despite it might be too hard for me haha.

It's actually been on my whishlist for quite a while now. I'll bit the bullet one day.
As for me, I'm playing the new Assassins Creed Valhalla and it's pretty fantastic. I've been playing a bit of Counter Strike with a few of the lads from work and I keep meaning to go back to FIFA too (as well as FM when the bugs are fixed)
Too many games, not enough time!

I've been playing a bit of Counter Strike with a few of the lads from work and I keep meaning to go back to FIFA too (as well as FM when the bugs are fixed) Too many games, not enough time! Totally!!! Lately I've been playing a lot of FIFA (I'm on division 6 in Ultimate Team, with a fantastic 88 rated squad), but I'm also playing Cities:Skylines, Jurassic World Evolution, Space Haven, CK3, FM2021, Marvel's Avengers, MGS:V and NFS:Heat somewhat in that order of preference haha. Regarding Crusader Kings 3, I just bought it on the autumn sale and I'm struggling a bit to commit to a save. If anyone (cough cough, dalenichol, Reiver and stouters) can reccomend a decent start for the game to be relatively easy and enjoyable, something akin to what you can do with any Duke in Ireland, but not that (as I played the hell out of that in CK2 and it's been a bit boring so far to do it again). I'm keener to start at the Viking Age than on the High Middle Ages.

I really haven't given CK3 much time since release, which is a shame because it's a great game. In CK2 at least, it was possible to start as Sigurd Ring and pass your titles onto your son, Ragnar Lothbrok. That was always fun, trying to unite the Scandinavian Empire under your rule, or invading some heathen lands. Speaking of FIFA this is my team: That you have an 88 rated squad is pretty insane! I'm tempted to sell Neymar when his price recovers. Push Jesus into ST and buy IF Paulinho for that AMC position, but we'll see.

That's a pretty solid team there Dale, I've spent a fair amount of money in the game to buy packs, and have sold quite a lot of what I've pulled (I've been a bit lucky with some SBC pulls as well, this week I pulled a 140k coin card from the Mega Pack you get from the Marquee Matchups SBC's). My current starting XI looks like this: - Oblak: Pulled him from a reward pack, don't remember which. He's sellable. - Walker: Unsellable (or he would've gone packing Jesús Navas is as good and a fourth of the price), pulled him from a reward pack. - OTW Thiago Silva: Got him in the first week of the game from an SBC. He's quite slow, but will surely evolve throughout the season. - IF Sergio Ramos: Bought him for 215k coins. - Jordi Alba: Bought him for 22k coins. - Casemiro: Pulled him from a money pack. - Fabinho: Untradeable, got him off an UCL SBC. - De Bruyne: Bought him for 195k coins. - Salah: Bought him for 442k coins (he's plummeted in value, now sells for around half of that). - Hazard: Unsellable, pulled him from a level pack. - Mid Icon Baggio: Newest addition to the squad, bought him just today (he hasn't even debuted) for 830k coins. Bench: - Lloris: Unsellable, pulled him from a FUT champions pack. - Navas: Bought for 7k coins. - Pique: Unsellable, pulled him from a Rivals pack. - Sergio Busquets: Unsellable, pulled him from a level pack. - OTW Odergaard: Bought him for 40k coins (as a bit of a gamble, I'm guessing he'll be worth a lot more if he's upgraded during the season). - Bale: Unsellable, got him off a pack I can't remember haha. - Benzema: Pulled him early in the season, he's scored 275 goals and has 145 assists in 281 games. Beastly. I've also got a few other good players: Kane, 87 Falcao both unsellable and OTW James Rodríguez, Allan, Diogo Jota, Matuidi and Hwang Hee Chan. All the OTW unsellable as well.

That's a cracking team chaodck ! I've been fairly lucky with packluck to be honest. I've not spent much on fifa points, maybe £15 in my first week? But from the image above, Mendy was packed untradeable (I've packed him untradeable twice! Kante was untradeable, packed. Neymar is tradeable, packed. Mukiele was an objective Talisca was an objective. Elsewhere in my club: Objective Mollet, POTM Oyarzabal, RTTF Diaby (Tradeable), Red Luis Alberto, Objective Sabitzer, IF Vidal (untradeable), Alejandro Gomez, Icardi and Gnabry all tradeable. OTW Chan, Sergio Ramos, Chiellini, Red Hradecky, IF Belotti, Obj Bojan (and the other sbc mls player) Kroos, Leno and Koke untradeable I've mostly been doing odd bits of trading, icon trading etc, so I've got that team and still 400k. Are you on PC or console?

I'm on PC, I bought EA Play this year, so the game "is free". You on PS4? I see you're doing a lot of the friendlies stuff for objectives. I haven't really bothered with it and mostly play Rivals and when I qualify FUT Champions (even though I really shouldn't as I'm totally out of my depth). I end up on the 1st tier of Rivals all weeks, and as I said above I'm nearing the advance to 5th division (I'm currenly around skill 960). EDIT: Well Baggio debuted and he's cracking mate. By far the best player I've manned on this game. We won 7-1 to a 900 skill team in Rivals and he scored 3 goals and assisted on 2.

The worst thing about packing Neymar was that I done it on the webapp without paying much attention! Until tonight when I played a few rivals games, I hadn't actually touched FIFA in about 3 weeks. I only built that team above this evening to build it around Neymar and the untradeables I wanted to use. Neymar was about 1.07m when I packed him and he's now fallen to 830k, the market has taken a sharp drop in the past little while! If I'm honest, when/if his price goes back up, I'll likely sell him. I can't get him higher than 7 chem in that team and Jesus is better. I could buy IF Paulinho for AMC and move Jesus into ST. I've been doing a lot of friendles and it's the most fun I've had with the game in years. I've missed the last one or two, but I've got most of the silver friendly IF players and a bunch of others. I wont go out of my way to do every objective player, I don't specifically build teams to do them etc unless it's a player I actively want. The silver ones have just been fun to mess around with too, as was the rulebreakers Akinfenwa one. FUT Champs is probably what burned me out a little bit, I have a free redemption whenever I want, maybe next weekend I'll do it. I can usually hit the Silver 1 level needed for the 2000xp reward to auto qualify. I'm division 5 for Rivals, around 1150 skill level or so, but it fluctuates a lot, I've been as low as 7 and as high as 4! I'm on PC bud, I'm just off to bed just now but I'll get out added on Origin ASAP and we can maybe play some time!

I'm having a lot of fun playing mate, really. It's the first FIFA I play in quite a few years and I gotta say from all the sports games I play this is the best multiplayer experience I've experienced. Of course I do get blasted from time to time (yesterday I lost 10-2 to a 1050 skill team), but I've been improving and getting better at the game (and getting a better team) and wins come by a lot more often than not, even big big wins. I mostly play Rivals and my W/D/L record is still on the positive, a thing I never ever managed to do in NBA 2K or Madden. I haven't really cared much about the friendlies stuff. Getting in 30 Rivals games a week is just enough for me. I might sneak in a few Squad Battles for a few objectives, and after that, if I do get some more time, might play some friendlies. My biggest gripe with it, is that it's not skill based, like Rivals matchmaking and thus the probability of getting stomped on is bigger. Just a guess though. Regarding FUT Champs, I've played it 3 times and the most I've got is 3 wins (and played around 10 games haha). Great to hear you're on PC mateee!!!!! We can play some co-op and get those objectives that I've forcibly neglected so far, done. My username on Origin is chaodck as well.

I'll get you added asap!
The thing I like with friendlies is that it's less try hard and sweaty. People have more interesting teams and you're not just playing against the same BPL hybrid super team every game (which I know is hypocritical given my team kinda, but I've used exclusively Bundesliga from the start util this week). You also get your coin rewards and don't lose any contracts, so it's often a fun excuse to use those loan players and loan icons that we didn't want to waste otherwise.
Fut Champs is a genuinely shitty, horrible experience that I don't enjoy in the slightest, but the rewards are obviously the best so it makes you want to slog it out more. I could probably have more fun just playing rivals, friendlies and the odd squad battle here and there...but the lure of those fancy red cards is just too much.

I've read reports that's it's a pile of shit on PS4 and PS4Pro, have a streamer friend playing on PS5 and it looks decent. I'm wondering about PC since I plan on get it there as I really enjoyed the last couple of Deus Ex games and this looks like a what those games should be if they were deeper.
