Chatting with Nick about skins on my NEC save I tried a few new ones and ended up really liking them. For me custom skins is all about getting more information available for the player via panels and widgets, and thus I used a skin named Flut which was the first I used and as Nick said it was pretty much all over the place with a lot of colours which made it look a bit cluttered. He reccomended a few that he used and I ended up liking the more stylish and elegant looks from them, specially OPZ Elite and TCS 2020 I do have a big problem with the first though, as the backgrounds are too bright and I end up not being able to see the font well, I know this is customizable via an icon on the right upper corner, and when I lower it to around 50-60% opacity I can see perfectly, but I don't know if you can set this permanently as every time I boot the game I have change it again. Does anyone know if this is fixable, either on a config file for the skin or in game? If anyone else wants to reccomend their current skin I guess this is the thread for it as well haha. I wanted to ask my question but decided the thread could on the more global topic.

I've no idea whether that's an easy fix or even possible mate, but as I mentioned in your thread, this is something I'm interested in for FM21. Is there a guide on creating skins floating around?

I've spent some time looking at getting the basics done with regards to skinning. I've played around with fonts and colours at the moment. Nothing too mental, but it's a start: Ignore the fact that it's an eye-sore, I just wanted something to stand out! The guide I've been using is by Michael Murray and for FM18 specifically, but everything I've done so far has worked. michaeltmurrayuk.blogspot.com/2017/11/football-manager-2018-skinning-guide.html

Good Nick it's a good start to be able to change the fonts. I think colouring might be the easier part though, desingning new panels and what info you want to show might be harder and require coding skills for the .xml's. Yesterday while searching for skins I found a thread that talked about modifying the base skins, maybe you can find something new there as well. www.fmscout.com/a-fm20-base-skins.html
