Yeah, I've had a play and I like what I see. Really good that it can change based on team instructions too. I'm pleased to say it likes the tactic I built for Volendam and a 4-4-2 I'm experimenting with at the moment.
What's quite interesting is if you take some of the so-called super tactics (take Knap's for example) and plug them in to this resource. From what I can tell they achieve the support score but get more for penetration versus slightly under par for solidity.
It's almost like build a 5-star tactic. Then change a couple of roles to over score penetration at the expense of solidity. Voila - you arrive at Knap.
A couple of other observations. In a 2-man central midfield (e.g. 442) you should have two support roles. Also with this tool its much easier to score well with a central midfield (sup) role or a carrilero. But much harder - again according to this - to find balance using a box to box or mezzala.
I really like it because it's helping me make small tweaks to tactics. For example, I had my current Volendam system which has Inverted Wingers on both flanks, but I recently had a situation where I needed to play a left-footer on the left, and so wanted to know what role would be good in central midfield to counter the loss of central threat caused by switching from an IW to a plain Winger.
