That's the Dale I know and love. Whilst I appreciate this and the feeling is absolutely mutual, of course, we both know that the Dale you know and love would've started 8 new saves before he'd even reached season 2, never mind 6, 7 or whatever it is now Gotta say I chuckled mate. This save is fantastic though and may be the exception that makes the rule.

I don't mind playing as bigger clubs, although Leverkusen or Hertha are my go to German sides. I'm usually just not good enough to make things work at bigger sides I really find switching sides late on quite difficult though, because you just have no attachment to the team or the players within it.

Fantastic pair of news there dalenichol . I can't fathom where a kid of that ability is just a 4 star PA, he looks amazing! City bought Haaland for €136M (plus around €28M more in clauses) and we got a nice 1% of that, so over a million comes into our coffers. All I ask is he's the clear starter, his competition currently is Ferrán Torres, Gabriel Jesus, and Liam Delap, so I think we're good and he should be the main ST on the team. I'm finishing the first half of the season right now, 2-3 games more and I'm done. I should have a writeup done today.

Molde FK 2022 Midseason ReportFirst half of the second season done, and again we-re doing a good job. Losing in the Europa Conference League Second Knockout Round was a tough blow to the start of the season, but after that the team started rolling and we got on to a good first half. In the league, after the first 5 games, we managed to stretch the winning streak for 8 games, including a great win over Bodø/Glimt, before Rosenborg stopped us with a 0-0 draw. We then stumbled a bit, and only won on of the next 4 games, before straightening things up with 2 wins in the last two games. The title fight is as tight as last season, with Bodø/Glimt and Rosenborg just one point behind us. Clearly we have a goalscoring problem. We've managed to just score 21 goals in the 15 league games, despite being over the league average on xG. We're generating decent chances although not at a huge volume, at least to a decent level (1.42 per game), but scoring just at the same rate of the chances generated (1.4 goals per game), which isn't good. Defensively we've been amazing though, conceding only 5 goals, and dominating the defensive analytics in the league. We lost in the Supercup at the start of the season, narrowly against Bodø/Glimt, then in the Cup we were awful, only getting into the Fourth Round, beating a couple lower league teams and Tromsø, before losing against Vålerenga in a bad draw, turned into a horrible game. The squad is looking nice. Pandev hasn't been the signing I expected and eventually lost his starting job in favour of Tjaaland who has been our top goalscorer of the season. Still Pandev is super useful to us as a tutor and also as a jack-of-all trades and supersub, but I expected a lot more, despite his decline. All of our top players come from the defensive side of the pitch, which exemplifies our offensive troubles. The UEFA Champions League draw was fairly kind to us, as we'll play Lokomotivi Tbilisi from Georgia in the First Qualifying Round, then if we advance, we'll face either Banga from Lithuania or Steaua from Romania, both affordable teams, despite the Romanians being somewhat similar to our stature. Getting into the Third Qualifying Round would mean at least a UEFA Europa League Playoff appearance and that means at least a UEFA Conference League Group Stage appearance. So that's the objective here. Regarding the squad and potential moves on the summer window (which is the midseason window here haha), we've got a good offer (€4M, 50% of his next transfer and a loan back until the end of the season) accepted for Sivert Mannsverk from Monaco. Mannsverk is a fantastic prospect but hasn't broken into the starting squad as we've got two good players over him. It hurts not to see him reach his potential here, but it's a good offer and it'll do him great in his development. It's not confirmed yet. There are a few big-ish teams following a few of my players. We'll see what happen and replace them on a case-by-case basis. No news on the facilities/development front yet. No movement from the NT side yet, after the two fantastic wins to kickstart the Nations League.

To be fair, that's a really good offer for a player that isn't starting for you. That's enough money to buy one or two new players, if not more, and any development that he gets at Monaco is going to benefit you in the long term too with that 50% clause. It's a shame that Pandev isn't working out, because I absolutely loved when I seen that you'd signed him. Not sure what it is specifically, but I just love that he's still going. If only I could sign Kazu Miura

If only I could sign Kazu Miura Yeah, I'm looking into bringing in a few younger players to try and develop instead of real replacements, as we have a lot of young players in the squad able to step up as backups, but as I said it'll be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We did sell Mannsvert, but he's back on loan, so no need to replace him soon. We've also accepted a bid for our starting GK and a few other of our starters are being followed.

Our first ever Champions League Group Stage victory. This is our third season in a row that we've reached this stage, this is the 4th game of this years group. We were denied a win in the away leg, thanks to a 93rd minute own goal by Dime Barradas. We've made up for it this time. £2.4m for a win is insane! 2 games left, we're 3pts clear of Ajax and sitting in third in the group (behind PSG and Liverpool because of course) but we might be heading to the Europa League knockout rounds, which would be amazing!

Molde FK 2022 Season ReportSecond season done, and a lot of progress. But also a lot of changes. We made a few changes mid-season regarding the squad. As our midseason window comes in the summer, most big European sides are looking to kickstart their seasons by bringing in new faces. That made our young-ish core in high demand and I ended up selling a few big names. As I told in an older update we had sold Sivert Mannsverk to Monaco and they graciously loaned him back to us until the end of the season. But the window brought in more changes as we sold 3 starters, our GK, one CB and one CM. Andreas Linde was sold to Southampton for €2.5M, Birk Risa to Union Berlin for €2.7M (plus 50% of his next fee) and Emil Breivik to Burnley for €3.5M (plus 50% of his next fee). That was just fantastic money for us, as despite their importance all 3 players were easily replaceable. My only issue was that if I had sold Breivik before Mannsverk I probably would've kept him and played him as a starter, now I had a bit of a hole and needed to replace our starting CM. As we didn't replace Mannsverk due to him being loaned back, I needed to fill 3 spots, and decide whether I would use Mannsverk as a starter or bring another CM of that quality. I ended up bringing in 3 Norwegian players, Nicolas Pignatel Jenssen came in from Stabæk, for €3.5M (plus €3M in clauses), he's a super talent, already debuted in the Norway NT and has still a lot of potential, we overpaid for him sure but he's Norwegian and in the NT fold which makes him a great player to develop in our team. During the intake scouting I had discovered a fantastic player, Anders Catalano who at 15 looked already good enough to start for a top Norwegian side like us. But as we had two good starters and knowing how good he is, he wanted to be a starter so I decided against bringing him in earlier in the season. But seeing now a spot opened, I bought him from Sarpsborg for €1.5M (plus €1M in clauses). He's 15 sure but he's amazing and will become a key player for us and we'll probably end up selling him before he turns 18. Finally, we had a good backup GK, so I decided to bring in a veteran player to help our young lad develop and alternate between them, so Sondre Rosbach came in from Odd for €100k. We raked in over €15M in incoming fees and spent €7M, while replacing all players with better, younger alternatives full of potential. I call that, fantastic business. In the League, we had a great first half of the season and were embroiled in a title battle with two of the bigger teams in Rosenborg and Bodø/Glimt. We started off the second half of the season beating Lillestrøm and Vålerenga two big sides not really on the title battle, but then took a loss against Sarpsborg. From there on, we never looked back. August was a good month where we won 3 games and drew the other one. September came in and we had to play both other contenders in successive weeks, we managed to draw against Bodø/Glimt and we beat Rosenborg 2-1. The win put us 4 points over Rosenborg and as Bodø/Glimt had already slipped we were 7 points above them. With 5 games to go, the title race looked like this: October came and we were on a roll. We beat Brann 2-0, and Kristiansund 2-0 as well, meanwhile Rosenborg lost both their games and dropped back 10 points. Rosenborg won both games and were still 7 points behind. We then drew against Odd, and they both won their games, so the distance reduced to 5 and 8 points. We then managed to get a 2-1 win over Hagesund and clinched the title with one game to go. We beat Jerv in the last game. We were much better offensively on the second half of the season. We finished 4th on the league in Goals For (scored 21 goals in the first 15 games, upping it to 30 in the second half), only 4 goals behgind the top scoring team, while still being the top defence (18 goals allowed in 30 games), despite losing our starting GK and a starting CB. In Europe, after being eliminated in the Second Knockout Round of the UEFA Europa Conference League during the first half of the season, we had to endure playing in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. We managed to navigate them well, beating Lokomotivi Tbilisi from Georgia, 7-1 on aggregate, then beat Steaua from Romania 4-1 on aggregate. This set up a Third Qualifying Round against Basel. I felt that it was a decent draw, despite us being fairly even matched with them. Still getting to this stage meant we at least would get into the UEFA Europa Conference League Group Stage which was the initial objective. But we managed to beat Basel, 2-0 on aggregate after two narrow 1-0 wins. This qualified us for the UEFA Champions League Playoffs. One more aggregate win and we would make it to the Group Stage. We drew Malmö, from Sweden and I felt we were super lucky as they were an even match again, and also they are from Sweden, a "direct rival". At home, we got a 2-2 draw, despite being the better team, but I was still confident for the trip over to Sweden. But we lost 1-2 and ended up being knocked out. I was happy with our participation, but felt we could've taken advantage of what was a fairly decent draw. We fell into the UEFA Europa League Group Stage and drew a tough group alongside Strasbourg, Beşiktaş and Slavia Praha. I felt we had a tiny chance of sneaking in 2nd place, but in the end the group was above us and we lucked out to get in 3rd place, after narrowly beating Slavia Praha in both games and getting a draw against Beşiktaş. This means we'll play in the UEFA Europa Conference League First Knockout Round, come February. We had a good year, specially on the defensive side, and got a few players over 10 goals which is nice to see as well, despite none of them going above 12 goals which is obviously worrying. For next season I plan on selling a few of the older players to make room for some of our top prospects. The only player I don't want to sell who's being followed is Tjaaland, who is on Sporting CP and Fullham's shortlists. I'm really against selling him as he's just 18, but if a good offer comes (with a mandatory loan back clause), I won't oppose him going, for his development's sake. This is gonna be a super long offseason as the November World Cup stopped our season in October, and the League comes back in May. I still haven't got any 2023 dates though, but I think a pre-pre-season for the European games will be needed and after that a proper pre-season. On other news, we're doing fantastically well in the finance department. The prize money from a good european campaign (for this level) and also the great transfers business has us with €25M in the bank, while still not having decent sponsors income (the club had a ton of 10+ year deals ending between 2021 and 2024, those renewals will be tasty and hopefully not as long lasting or at least inflation adjusted haha). We've asked for a few improvements, mainly junior coaching which now stands at "Excellent" and a youth facilities upgrade which will be ready by February 2023. I also plan on asking for a stadium expansion as we currently fill on average 92% of our 11k stadium. We'll see how it goes. EDIT: I just had the intake preview, and it looks fucking amazing: Big update on Norway coming soon, after I finish the World Cup.

Norway 2022 World Cup Report2022 ended and with it came our first experience at the World Cup. I'll cover first the UEFA Nations League, as we played it all during this 2022 season and after it, I'll do a squad overview and finally get to the World Cup results. We were great in the Nations League B, we drew a group with Serbia, Russia and Israel and I thought we were in a fight to be 1st, but most probably I'd end up in 2nd place. Well, we dominated the competition and pulled by a brilliant Erling Haaland, managed to win promotion to the Nations League proper. We kicked it off beating Serbia 4-2 and Israel 4-0, with 6 from those goals coming from Haaland. The middle date was rougher, as we drew 1-1 against Russia and lost 1-2 against Serbia, Haaland didn't score on this round and we struggled. This meant we had to get at least 4 points in the last date, and we managed to win both games, 3-1 over Russia and 6-2 against Israel, Haaland came back again with a thunder and scored 7 of those goals. With 13 points, we won the group and were promoted to the Nations League A. Haaland led all goalscorers (from all the divisions) with 13 goals in 6 games and a 8.93 rating. With that, we set off to prepare for Qatar and the 2022 World Cup. The squad selection ended up being almost the same squad from the last 2 callups, as we had no injuries and the players are starting to gel and play better within them. I have a few names to test next year, but overall the core of the team is pretty much set. The backbone of the team is highlighted by Erling Haaland, Martin Ødegaard, Kristoffer Ajer, Jens Petter Hauge, Fredrik Bjørkan and Morten Thorsby. We clearly have a bit of a GK shortage and need to start replacing a bit of the older stagnant players with guys packing more potential. Still, we have a great squad and I was super confident in what we could do on the WC. As a sidenote, a few weeks before the start of the World Cup, Haaland was named the top player in the Goal 50 of 2022. So, we travelled to Qatar, after winning all 3 friendlies to prepare, beating the USA 3-0, Chile 3-0 and Macedonia 3-0. We had drawn a tough-ish group, alongside Brazil, Mexico and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I felt we could compete and place 2nd in the group without much hassle as I was confident of handling both Mexico and Bosnia. In our paired group, Portugal was most surely our 2nd Round rival, as they would probably win their group over Chile, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. We kicked off against the Mexicans and duly dominated the game. Haaland opened the score at '19, and a few minutes later Schjelderup doubled our lead. Right before halftime Ajer managed to score our third, and that was it as the second half could've been omitted and we won 3-0. Our second game was against Brazil, and it was a tight game, and we really played good. We had a bit of luck as André Hansen had a brilliant game including stopping a penalty by Neymar. In the end we drew 0-0, meaning a win over Bosnia in the last game would mean that goal difference would decide the top spot assuming Brazil beat Mexico. We delivered, yet narrowly as Ødegaard scored a brilliant goal at '23 and we just kept it like that getting a 1-0 win. But the big surprise of the tournament was that Mexico beat Brazil, meaning we secured the 1st placed spot, leaving the Brazilians in 2nd. Our reward? Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal, as that group was a clusterfuck of results and might be the strangest group I've ever seen on and FM World Cup ( check the pic, but Chile lost on qualification after beating Saudi Arabia and Portugal, while losing 0-7 against Nigeria...). So, we had to play Portugal, a tough draw, specially as we weren't at our best in the last game. And well, we ended up losing. João Félix scored at '15 and just before halftime, when I felt we could hold on and re-think the game at halftime, Matheus Nunes scored the 0-2. In the second half we improved a bit, and eventually got a consolation goal from Haaland, but it wasn't enough. We lost 1-2 and got out of the World Cup on the Second Round. I think we were good, but definitely not at our best. We need a bit more of quality in order to play against top sides and compete at this high level. But, having a young squad, and even more fantastic young lads behind them, I'm confident for the future. As a final note, we drew the UEFA Euro Qualifiers group and landed in a fairly easy one, alongside Austria, Belarus, Israel and Kosovo. I reckon we can win the group without much trouble and qualify directly, but if not, surely we can sneak as one of the top 9 second placed teams and get into the EURO either way.

That's all looking really promising so far, buddy! How are you finding international management? It's never been a part of the game that I've ever really bothered with, whether as a standalone save or as part of a C&C. That's a really tasty looking youth intake too!
We've just won our 4th title in a row, taking us to 7 titles from 8 seasons. We've won 6 of 7 super cups and we've won the last 4 Cypriot 'Coca-Cola' Cups. I'm definitely starting to think of what my next step is going to be, FM wise.
Gonna keep this save going for a little while longer, maybe, but we're now just dominating domestically. We've £50m in the bank, our facilities are almost maxed out and there's a new stadium on the way. We still need to start producing more Cypriot talent and we need to see if we can make some more progress in Europe, but that's really all there is left. (I meant to add, we got knocked out the EL by Vilarreal in the knockout stages, 5-3 on agg.

The intake looks great, let's see how it goes. Pre-season is just starting and not much changes are envisioned to the Molde squad, unless we reluctantly sell someone. Glad to see you still dominating mate, shame that there isn't much to do from there, as the quality gap in the next leap seems to be big. Eager to see with what you come up next and hopefully is as successful as this save

Persis solo if anyone fancies it. are in second tier and have high sponsorship, could facilitate groth of the club Jeonbuk have an investor that maintains budget to be approx 11m in bank. out of Everton/Santiago - I would probably try Santiago due to lower expectations Numancia I did try but it didnt stick.
ps. Dale, due to you being slightly better sometimes at getting deeper into a save try Modena in Serie C - the facilities seem very high, no doubt you'll get some wonderful youngsters to work with or sell on. I personally struggle in italy due to the starting squads having waaaaaaaaaay to many players

Wanderers (who strangely are called Santiago Wanderers yet play in the city of Valparaiso), got relegated this season, after a horrible start to the campaign, where they lost the first 7 games, and only won their first game in the 18th game of the season, at that point they had 5 points in 18 games. It'll be a big challenge to keep them on the top tier.

I'm still plodding along in Cyprus just now. Time off is being consumed by Elder Scrolls Online and housework, but we're getting there Heading towards December. Top of the league, potentially finishing third in our CL group again. We are out the cup though. £60m in the bank, facilities are almost maxed out and the board are still looking for a site for a new 20k capacity stadium. I think if I can start getting some cypriot youngsters into the first team, it'll ease things up a bit. We're having issues with the European squad registrations due to a lack of homegrown players,. so if I can potentially start to negate that issue, we might start making a fair bit more progress in Europe and thus the save as a whole.

Good to see in 2021 the megavlanche happened in french alps again. Watching the various downhillers on this nutty course over the years is insane!!

5 games played of the league so far, not a hooked speed. one thing feyenoord initially lack is a decent striker and available money to get one in so mix of backup cheap 36+ options were signed along with a budget loan of Collido from Inter
So if I make it to the next summer, a decent striker is a must.
