Not a single comment on my PIM Pele pull mate? Hahahahahaha =D Haha sorry, I genuinely didn't even notice that post. Fuck sake, my pack luck was so bad all year too Dude, I don't know how I've had such good pack luck. Almost all my icon packs have been fire, Prime Butragueño, Prime Hugo Sánchez, Mid Lahm, Prime Hagi and now PIM Pele (plus Mid Petit, which was meh). Plus that TOTY Lewa I pulled from a 83+ Attackers pack the first day of TOTY. Next year I'm gonna have depression when my pack luck is torrid. If I had a PS5 I would love to play Elden Ring. The Souls games are some of, if not, my favourite video game series. It's quite ironic because Dark Souls is one of my favourite games ever, but I actually bought it by pure chance. Was looking for a game that had 3 player co-op so me and two friends could play, we all bought it and they sold it after an hour because of how hard it was, I almost done the same but my parents started moaning so I kept it and ended up getting good and the rest is history. I completed the game on the Nintendo Switch at just level 1 haha. I just can't see the appeal of "Souls" games. I wouldn't touch Elden Ring with a pole. But, to each, their own.

Elden Ring seems to be that bit more accessible for people who didn't enjoy the series. I think the open world nature helps. My issue with the games wasn't so much the difficulty, yeah they're hard and about trial and error, but the design choices and the lack of save points etc just made the games frustrating and unenjoyable, because you could lose an hour or more of progress due to a death, and that's just silly.
I'll grab Elden Ring on xbox when it eventually gets a bit cheaper

During my spells of FM-fatigue I've started playing a few other games. I tried The Witcher 3 and got on with it up to a point (and then found the relentless slaughter of anything that moved a little wearing) and have also been playing Truberbrook (a small, slightly frustrating point-and-click mystery game).

I don't really get much time to game and when I do it's mainly FM, but other games recently I've been playing are Wrestling Revolution and the Pokemon games on the switch, but as I Say mostly my time is taken up on FM.

I've played the Pokémon games on the switch. Finished both Let's Go Pikachu and Shield with its DLC (completed the normal 400 pokédex in this one, didn't complete the expanded pokédex). I'm now at the mid-end phase of Brilliant Diamond (got 7 medals). I plan on finishing BD before buying Legends: Arceus. I've found that BD isn't really my cup of tea. I don't know if it's the pokémon available to which I have little to no connection or if it's the clunky design of the remake (which is clearly not done by Game Freak, who dedicated their efforts to Legends: Arceus), but I'm finding it hard to do long sessions of play. I usually boot it up, and after 15-20 minutes I'm bored. Lately I've been playing Ocarina of Time in the N64 emulator on the NSO:EP and having a blast, even though the camera is fucked up. Hopefully they re-make Ocarina of Time soon, it's a masterpiece.

My gaming is currently involved around FM, CM and Fallout New Vegas.
Never got around to playing the pokemon remasters and haven't played Arceus in about 2 months or more (It's genuinely brilliant and I'm about 4 pokemon away from completing it, but this is what happens to me with any switch game)
I'm finding less and less games that appeal to me these days, with less time to dedicate to playing ones that do, I tend to find myself going back to the football management comfort zone.

I still haven't finsihed Shield yet, and not got Diamon / Pearl at all. Cleared the Lets go game more out of getting that nostalgia feel than anything else. Ocarina is my fave game of all time, I too play it on the emulator. Got it for 3ds too but have a N64 style pad I use on the emu.

New Vegas is in my top 5 games of all time absolutley love it. Not played it in a while though. I'm the same with getting games to hold my attention. I always find myself either playing the older games or sticking to FM. Maybe it's an age thing?

New Vegas is in my top 5 games of all time absolutley love it. Not played it in a while though. I'm the same with getting games to hold my attention. I always find myself either playing the older games or sticking to FM. Maybe it's an age thing? I think that's part of it. It's a combination of age, time and anxiety for me. I'm getting older and my tastes are changing a bit, I work 3pm until midnight, so I have a small window when I'm home to play games, and a few hours in the mornings providing I don't have other boring adult stuff to do, so my time is quite limited to when I can play games. I've found that due to this limited free time, my anxieties kick in a bit more, where I'm constantly telling myself "Right Dale, you've only got Saturday and Sunday to relax before you're back to work again, and that's not a lot of time, and if you play/watch/do something that's new, you'll maybe not enjoy it, and then you'll get upset that you've wasted your weekend, so just stick with these comfort shows/games/movies". Welcome to my therapy session!

I also started playing The Forgotten City recently. Another puzzle game and it seems pretty highly thought of. I'm finding myself really thrown by these games where you can go off on a tangent off a tangent off a tangent and stray miles from the main theme. Just not used to it after 20 years of almost exclusive FM...!

Anyone play In The Net Soccer? It has a small but lively community. Have been playing for years.
